Follow Your Heart

The idea that we should love what we do for a living seems obvious, but then a lot of us don't do it. When we don't love what we do, we often make excuses or we pretend that it is not possible. For example we might excuse it by saying we are only going to do the job until something better turns up or we might say that to be successful you can't always expect to do what you love.

This weeks nugget is a wonderfully inspiring speech by a hugely successful man who has been instrumental in transforming the computer, music and film industries. He loves what he does and talks about how crucial the love of what we do leads to our success.

What Leads to Success?

We all want to be successful is some way. The first key is to know in which ways we want to be successful and to know what it means for us.

What does success mean for you? Is it about being a great parent or a great athlete or making lots of money? Is it about recognition or achievement or contribution?

Success is not a mystery. Successful people leave signs that can show us their routes to success.

In this 3 minute, golden nugget video, author Richard St John shares the 8 keys that we can all easily put into our daily routines.

The importance of doing something that matters

What was the most inspiring, fulfilling and transformative moment of your life?

Last year I had mine and it changed my view of both myself and the world forever. We have all seen the pictures of starving children and their parents with a look of hopelessness in their eyes. Well I had the amazing opportunity to go to Malawi in Africa last year to help a project that is filling the eyes of parents and children with hope, putting smiles on their faces and filling their tummies with nutritious food.

The most amazing thing about this project is not that it feeds starving children, there are other projects which do that. The amazing thing about this project is that it does it through the collaboration of thousands of people who are rewarded for their efforts. Join us and make a real difference in the world.
